A momentous day for Mauritius Cargo Community Services Ltd (MACCS) as we celebrated our 15th year anniversary. From humble beginnings to a globally recognized business, MACCS is now one of the leading providers of cargo solutions in Mauritius.
Over the past 15 years, we have toiled hard to build our reputation as a trusted and reliable partner in the cargo industry. This growth was fueled by the dedication and commitment of our staff in providing world class solutions to meet our customers’ needs. We have steadily invested in technology to keep up with industry trends and offer state-of-the-art services that cover most of our customers’ requirements: from cargo tracking, documentation automation, data exchange and many more.
After years of uphill battle, we have now reached such an important milestone that we could only dream about when we first started. It has been an exciting journey for the MACCS team, from achieving our initial goals to creating something greater than we ever imagined.
The celebration was filled with warm words from the company’s CEO, Mr. Charansingh Dabeesing, and The Chairman, Mr. Naveen Sangeelee, who shared stories from the time of MACCS’s creation and subsequent plans as well. Mr. Francois De Grivel, one of the board directors, rightly said during the celebration, we quote, “It’s been a long road from when we first started.”
The last few years have seen tremendous success, as we have not only grown in size but also diversified our portfolio of services. The help of community support has been a cornerstone of our success over the past years, and we want to thank everyone who has contributed towards it. Our growth reflects all the hard work and dedication that everyone has put into, making this milestone possible.
MACCS has forged strong business relationships with hundreds of organizations over these past years while continuing to streamline processes and improve upon service quality. This is just one example of how MACCS has used innovation and forward-thinking to stay ahead in an ever-changing industry.
In the wake of the recent shifts that MACCS has gone through, new opportunities have begun to present themselves. The company started gaining more visibility both locally and internationally, while showcasing its services at the 2022 WCO ICT Conference and participating in Maritime week alongside its new joint venture partner MNS. Both events provided exposure for the companies in terms of their image and reputation. Following these events, MACCS also participated in the Air Cargo Africa 2023 where we were able to foster new relationships, gain knowledge from other experts in the field, and explore novel opportunities to bring our expertise to the African logistics community.
MACCS is currently strengthening its human capital in preparation for expansion into new markets and territories. The next step has already been taken, as the company’s service portfolio has been expanded in Africa in search of fresh business development opportunities.
The celebration concluded with the launching of our new website, a symbol of a new era for MACCS; the perfect example of our progression and evolving in line with the rapidly changing environment of the industry.
