Our second visit to Autisme Maurice, on Wednesday 20th August 2025, was a reminder of resilience and love. The MACCS team was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Lise Juganaikoo, Director of Autisme Maurice, whose dedication and passion continue to uplift the lives of children with autism. Together with Ms. Darshini Ramjee, School Manager, she shared a heartfelt presentation on the association’s ongoing initiatives, shining a light on the tireless work being carried out every day to provide care, education and hope.
In a moment filled with meaning, our CEO, Mr. Charansingh Dabeesing, handed over a cheque donation and toys for the children. This gesture was not only about giving but also about reaffirming our commitment to walk alongside Autisme Maurice, strengthening our support through continued CSR initiatives.

The most touching part of the day came during our interactions with the staff and children. Their warmth, resilience and joy reminded us why it is so important to keep building a more inclusive and compassionate society.
At MACCS, we believe that true impact comes not from a single visit, but from sustained commitment. This second visit reaffirms our bond with Autisme Maurice, and together we look forward to creating brighter opportunities for every child.

We also accomplished another CSR initiative on the 16th of September 2025, where we handed our donation to the Mrs. Valerie Rougier Lagane, the Director of OpenMind, a non-governmental organisation that has been working for over 15 years to improve the lives of children and young people facing psychological and emotional challenges.

OpenMind provides specialised therapeutic services such as psychological assessments, art therapy, hortitherapy, ecotherapy, speech therapy, and psychomotor therapy. Each year, approximately 60 children between the ages of 3 and 18, many from underprivileged or vulnerable backgrounds, benefit from these interventions. Most of these children face complex challenges including trauma, neglect, family breakdowns, and emotional distress. Through one-on-one sessions led by trained professionals, OpenMind creates a safe and supportive environment where children can express themselves, rebuild confidence, and begin the journey of healing.
This partnership reflects MACCS’ strong belief in contributing to a healthier, more inclusive society. By supporting OpenMind’s work, we aim to ensure that more children gain access to quality mental health care, regardless of their background. Together, we can empower the next generation to overcome adversity and thrive in a brighter, more resilient future.
