Covid 19 was a reality check for MACCS, and it saw a complete breakdown of trade business for many months. This had a huge impact on revenue generation and there came an urgency to look into other horizons to sustain the company.
Business Development Department was created:
- To make MACCS less dependent of the actual Core Trade Systems for revenue generation
- Provide MACCS with different revenue pillars
- Put a foot in the regional area and widen its scope in Africa.
Apart from bringing new revenue stream to MACCS, the Business Development Team is also working towards Customer Excellence. The Customer Support Team is part of Business Development as we strongly believe that working together with our clients will bring the proximity and trust. We are closely working with our stakeholders to enhance our portfolio of services for ease of business. Our aim is to make our clients our references in the market.
Our main objective of 2023 remains, Africa. We believe that the support of Local Partners and Authorities are crucial for MACCS to bring the Mauritian competency and skills to the African regions. MACCS has a clear vision of where it wants to be in the future, and we have complete trust in our capacity to be there.
